Yes. Sync is always on, even before you sign in. Sign in to get the same Spaces, pinned tabs, and folder structure on your other devices. Sync is local-first: every change writes locally first and pushes to the cloud in the background.
No. Leap uses Manifest V3 background workers and stores Space state in chrome.storage.local. The sidebar lives in the Side Panel API and is rendered only when open.
Team sharing is on the roadmap. Today, Spaces are per-user — but they sync across all your own devices.

Leap is free for everyone, and sync is always on: your Spaces, saved tabs, folders, pins and settings sync to our server — whether you sign in or not. Only tabs you explicitly save are synced; your browsing history isn't. We don't sell your data. See our privacy policy.
